what is this floor test for?

This tool(ruller) called floor test or infill depth gauge is used for measuring the depth of infill sand or rubber or sand and rubber granules or other infill materials that are filled inside the synthetic turf/artificial grass, it is a very useful tool for installation of artificial grass, it helps us to accurately measure the infill quantity and quality of artificial grass surface, it is excellent for football, baseball, softball, soccer, field hockey, cricket and so on, any place that filled/dressed/covered with crumbed rubber, crumbed rubber and sand.

  how to use the floor test

  It is simple to use:

  • Pull the lever(with ruller) until the 3 test sticks(probes) are complete gone into the tool aluminium alloy body. And check if 0 scale of the ruller is on the edge of the alloy body.
  • Place the spike end(the bottom of aluminum body) firmly against the turf surface and push the lever until you can feel it contacts a hard surface. It is better to use another hand to hold the tool body and keep it vertical while pushing the lever into the turf infill.
  • Check the ruller on the lever, you can see how far in it is gone, that is the depth of the turf infill.
  • We suggest to measure several areas to get the average depth of the infill.
